Who can manage Workspace Security?
Overview
The Security tab lets you open your workspace to new members without sending invitations manually. This is achieved through domain-based access, where you define one or more allowed email domains.
If no trusted domains are defined, only invited users can join your workspace. Once at least one domain is added, anyone with a matching email address can join directly — either by signing up (new users) or signing in (existing Lia Translate users).
Workspace Owners and Admins can remove an allowed domain at any time; removing it immediately disables new automatic joins.
Adding an allowed domain
When adding a domain, you’ll define which email domain should be trusted and confirm ownership through an email verification process.
To add a new domain:
Go to the Security tab.
Click + Add domain.
Enter the desired domain (for example,
acme.com).Enter an email address belonging to that domain (for example,
[email protected]).Lia Translate will send a verification email to that address (expires after 24 h).
Once the email is confirmed, the domain becomes active and users from that domain can join automatically.
Only add company-owned domains, never public ones like
gmail.comoryahoo.comReview the allowed domains list regularly to maintain security compliance.
Remove unused or outdated domains immediately to prevent unauthorized access.
Adding a domain restriction does not enforce a particular authentication method (e.g. Microsoft SSO). Let us know if you need to restrict authentication options for your workspace.
